I started taking lamictal back in September. I really started seeing improvements after I was on 100mg . I thought my moods were back in order and I had no more bad thoughts. I almost started believing I had been cired, at least that's what it felt like. I had a hypomaniac on and off phase in January which led to excessive spending and overall overwhelming feeling of invisibility. Which at the time felt great. But from late febuary to now I have been so utterly depressed. I feel so alone and unworthy and it sucks. I want to get back on Prozac but my doctor took me off that because she suspected it to be the cause of my hypomaniac episodes. To be honest I HATE that I have to be on medication at all to feel somewhat better. It sucks. But I understand it's purpose. I feel like my depression is making me drift

Depression is not a way of life, it can be fixed.
Hang on and talk to you pdoc.
I too hate having to rely on medication but I like that more than sitting on the sidelines or being hospitalized...it's possible to find the happy medium with medication where it's more benefit than side effect.
I agree it's worth hanging in and being honest with your pdoc. Depression can be fixed! ((((Hugs)))) none of this is easy!
