This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I started taking lamictal back in September. I really started seeing improvements after I was on 100mg . I thought my moods were back in order and I had no more bad thoughts. I almost started believing I had been cired, at least that's what it felt like. I had a hypomaniac on and off phase in January which led to excessive spending and overall overwhelming feeling of invisibility. Which at the time felt great. But from late febuary to now I have been so utterly depressed. I feel so alone and unworthy and it sucks. I want to get back on Prozac but my doctor took me off that because she suspected it to be the cause of my hypomaniac episodes. To be honest I HATE that I have to be on medication at all to feel somewhat better. It sucks. But I understand it's purpose. I feel like my depression is making me drift away from everyone and sleep all the time.

Here is my new brother, copper :) He's so tiny! Moo and Tuck were ok with him on first meeting. Rocket due to his severe aggression will never meet Cooper.

It maybe you need more or something else - it's quite likely that the prozac was doing as your doctor said - problem is that bipolar doesn't stay still.
You might want to post on the main board - not so many people come here.
I agree to work with your doctor... and if you find yourself getting hypo I would get to your doctor whenever this happens... As much as it feels good at the moment what goes up must come down and you end up continuing to cycle and that's no fun.. No stability..
If you repost under the 'general bipolar' category in topics a lot more people will see your post... Not too many see the 'off topic' posts... Big hug....xo
