Does anyone have the problem that they can't cry? It might sound strange but a few nights ago I felt miserable, and for once I wanted to let it out with some good crying, but I couldn't shed even one tear. Maybe my medication is working so/too well??

Hey OB!

My guess is that it's not uncommon, especially in the BP scene. I stopped crying, on purpose, when I was eight years old and to this day only cry on rare occasions. Or sad movies.

raises a non crying hand, my meds are very very good but sometimes its frustrating crying lets the tension out for me

I have the same problem and thought it was just my meds. I wish I could cry and just let it out sometimes.

I didn't cry for years on certain meds..maybe 5 years, more. I like to be able to cry sometimes. x So yeah, maybe it is your meds...working a little too well?

I haven't cried in months, I think it's the cocktail of meds I'm on. sometimes my whole body aches for the release of a good cry but nothing happens. It's very frustrating.

Medication can make us numb, but then that's what some of it's supposed to do. I've been unable to cry and I've been unable to stop crying so to me it balances out!

I went through a long spell where I could not cry no matter how much I wanted. I told my doctor that I was afraid that if my mother died I wouldn't be able to cry or feel a thing. It bothered me. I needed that release. He agreed and changed my meds. Now I cry too much. Go figure! Hope you find something that works.

i have a hard time crying too,my mom died june of '09 i loved her dearly but still have not cried for her,i can listen to a song and it touches me with memories and i cry,i never cry in front of people don't know why cuz i'm a female and it's ok for us to cry.maybe meds idk i've been treated for the last 20 years.
