I sent my daughter an email about 5 days ago and still no reply. Now what?

I just got caught up on this, I didn't see your other post "Newest Development" but just now read it. I am so happy that your son in law responded to you and it did sound pretty hopeful. Like he mentioned, she does have a lot going on in her life right now. Five days is kind of a while to not respond to an email, but I'd give her some more time. She may be in the process of working through her own emotions from your last conversation and could be hurt by your response and actions, while also trying to think up a response to this new email that you sent her. Maybe if you don't hear back from her in a few more days, maybe email your son in law again? I hope that she does respond to you though. Do let keep us updated. (Hugs)

I agree with Jonezy... Your daughter may be overwhelmed by everything at the moment... Let's give her some time to digest it all. If your still don't hear anything I would contact your son-in-law and see what he thinks.... Ultimately it all looks positive!

I decided to call especially since SIL gave me the phone number. I left a very sensible message and later in the day received this email:

"I got your message and I hope you can accept that I'm not ready to talk right now. It was really hurtful what you said to me while I was back. I know it was last minute me reaching out, but I hadn't decided whether or not I wanted to get together. But after arriving, I thought I would give it a try. I appreciate your apology. I just have a lot going on at the moment and a busy week ahead of me full of doctors appointments, so maybe we can talk next weekend."

I'm confident that things are going to work out this go-round!
