I have definitely changed. I am not nearly as social as I used to be. I play my cards closer to my chest. I am less "sharp" and am quick to close ranks. I have become introverted.

I've been bipolar my whole life and so I always thought that the symptoms of mania and hypomania were a part of my personality. Once I got on meds and it went away (except when I need a med change) my "fun", joking around, charismatic side vanished for the most part. I won't lie, I do miss it. I believe the meds make me more myself but it is hard to reconcile that what I thought was a part of me never really was.

I hate this avitar, when I look out of the corner of my eye it looks like a baby in a diaper. Anywhoo, yes I am definately not the person I usually am on those things, they definately change me or at least the ones I am on now. Which leads me to believe that I think many are over medicated some for a reason some just are. we need to be our ouw advicate on this.

the meds have brought me to a place where i feel like i am 11 y/o again. just calm and innocent....and very guarded. but its a little different now that i'm 22...i feel detached this time around. the meds make me aware, but not present. i miss my personality and now i'm unsure if that was my true personality or my bp.
