I just want him to grow up and be as balanced as he can be. I worry that his depression and anxiety are a bit more than the typical every day stuff, but I think therapy can help him find ways to deal with that, as I know I sound like the old broken record to him!
My teen years were the pits and that is a time that I would never wish to go back to, no doubts about that!
It all can be so very overwhelming at times when he is "acting up" and I am dealing with my own crap on top of it...having an "off" day, etc. And, well, today is one of THOSE days.

Isn't it great that we have this handy resource for sharing, caring and helping??? Gosh .... I wish my mom had had some resources back in the day when she was screwing me up. :) You're a good mom!
All it's about is GenY being different than we were and we can't relate, and don't want to. I guess it was this way with our parents, and their parents towards them. GenY is like give me what I want or you get no love from me. But still they won't leave the house. Some may say it is because they are closer to their families than we were. I say they are close to their parent's money and shelter.
I'm going on my experience and opinion based on my stepkids when they were teens and how they are now in their early 20's
