need help

so I went to take my boys to the hospital because they are escalating in aggressiveness as well as in psychosis. they are currently awaiting to get into the residential part, but I no longer am able to keep them from escalating to the point that someone is going to get seriously hurt. I am trying everything I can think of to keep everyone safe in the meantime. well, my thing is I tried to get them into the acute part and they denied them saying unless they are suicidal they don't fit the criteria. what the hell? so I said what am I supposed to do when they are going at each other and the guy said to get in the middle of them! DUH! I said I do! he then told me to call the cops. again DUH! I had to call them on Thursday night and all the cops said was for the boys to settle down, have a male relative take them to a hospital if I didn't feel safe driving them myself because they are not a taxi service! OMG! my question is how to keep everyone safe in the time it takes, up to two weeks, to get them in residential? any ideas? please help and thanks

Getting into hospital can be a real catch-22. I think the best bet would be to have a doctor commit them. Sorry but that's all I've got.

these types of situations in regards to the *laws* urks the crud outta me. so sorry ur goin thru this. no one should have ta deal with the *unless their suicidal* crud. when someone asks for help its obviously needed & they should be happy peeps are askin for it & not ignorin it. if it were me & i dont have children. but id call the residential side & ask them what ur supposed ta do in the meantime so that no one gets hurt. can ya separate them in any way? like send one to another family member for help until then? sorry i cant be more help.

this is so unfair. what happened to the danger to yourself or OTHERS part? you clearly get the bums rush. what a system they will admit people who don't need to be there .

they wonder why kids run around killing class mates and shooting up marathons.

do they have a psychiatrist? talk to him tell him about the violence in the home......clearly there must be some or you would not be afraid if they punch each other or whatever to leave marks take a pic if your phone has video tape any encounters they have. im so sorry for you.
