Hi I was diagnosed with bipolar in 1991.I am now 44 yrs old.It has been a heck of a ride for me in over 20 yrs.I was hospitalized several times even homeless and living in two different residential facilities at one point in my life.I am stable right now and I am so grateful for that.Because it wasnt to long ago my life was very chaotic.I live alone with my dog.I have found out this is best for me.Not sure if I will ever find someone I am able to get along with and they me.But for now I am not worried about that.I am comfortable with it being just me and my dog.Sometimes I do get lonely but then I think back to my last relationship and how bad things went and realize I am not ready to even try right now.I dont think I have given myself enough time to focus on taking care of myself and letting the hurt and anger go.I know I do not want to carry it with me forever or into another relationship. So I stay single take my meds try to stay active and surround myself around people who are supportive.I go to counseling when I can afford it which is about once a month.Well I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello.Hugs,Wolf

Here is my new brother, copper :) He's so tiny! Moo and Tuck were ok with him on first meeting. Rocket due to his severe aggression will never meet Cooper.

Funny that you mention living alone as being better. Maybe it is just my fantasy, but now that my kids are up & out, I see a more peaceful place if I were not living with a spouse with his adhd-ocd-compulsive issues. And my 2 dogs are great also.
Really glad you are in the group!
This is a great place to get support no one can help as much as others who "get it" and also " get you."
