Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Having said that however, I don't know your situation at home. I know how difficult I am to live with and my wife went to therapy by herself to learn to cope with me. I would suggest your fiance do the same if he truly wants to be with you.
What a f'ing jerk!!!!!! Never never should you be treated or talked to in such a way. It really makes me angry and very sad for you or anybody else who has had to deal with such BS.....
We don't need anyhelp beating ourselves up, we do it just fine on our own.
You deserve someone who does their best to understand and love you unconditionally.
All my best wishes for you Hanna. Pinky
I am going to suggest couples counseling to him this evening, he'll probably agree that we need it...but if it costs us any money he won't do it.
Thank you all for your replies. I dread every day that he comes home for fear of what his mood might be. Every Friday we get into a fight b/c it's just the 2 of us all day long. We'll see what tomorrow brings too.
If so, then he shouldn't do it either.
If not, well, then, he should go.
Good luck with your counseling tonight.
(hugs)
He certainly doesn't word things right. Very unsupportive and very self-centered. This is his life too, after all. He's sure to point that out to me every time he talks to me.
He really does not treat you well, and he's just downright abusive to you. How sad that you dread him coming home. You're not even married yet. That's gotta tell you something.
