Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
This chorus is how I feel when depressed-

I have had a rough few days and found that by forcing myself to become outwardly active, I prevented the depression from getting worse. I gave my mind something else to focus on besides the "negative" thoughts. I got busy, kept busy, doing whatever I could physically. I didnt feel the energy to do those things but realized that the alternative was to "live in my head" and allow the depression to consume me.
Try to find things to do even if it is just straightening a room, sweeping out the car, playing a game with your children. Take a walk, bake a cake, do a craft with your children. "living in your head" is dangerous and it lies to us.
Please be strong sweetie and this day shall pass. How it passes is up to you.

i know its so hard, im trying to keep on top of it,
sometimes i fight it and it skulks away...sometimes it wraps itself around me and wont let go no matter how hard i try to smile and push it away.
and other times i just let it be...and wait for the release.
im trying to fight it today.....i hope you can do the same.
thinking of you

I'm trying my hardest to not let it ruin my day/life. I'm going to try to get some things done around the house....otherwise I'll just wallow in self pity all day long.
I know I'll make it through...it's just a matter of when?
