Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

Hi everyone!
I am new to this support group and glad to be around others who struggle with the same issues as myself.
I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder (Doctor still cannot pinpoint if I am Type I or II due to behaviors of both)when I was 16 and was unmedicated until I was 20. Started meds and then went through a divorce and little to say I spiraled. I am now 29 and I'm okay just still have those days where I have to say "It's just a bipolar day, it will be better tomorrow." However, it is still hard at times. Sometimes I feel like I'm alone when I am far from that. I am happily remarried with 2 wonderful children and have complete support from my husband. I just want to be able to connect with others who share the same feelings as myself.
Doctor just recently changed one of my medications and I am doing better, but still need the support of others to get through the day sometimes. Therapy is expensive, my copay under insurance even is $50 bucks and I cannot afford to pay that 2-3 times per week.
Anyhow, just wanted to introduce myself and say I am glad to be part of a support group now.
Hope to talk to ya'll soon!
XOXO

I realize I need to make it back to the doctor as I have experienced at least two depressive episodes and long manic episodes over the last 6 months.
Hugs your way!
