Just started taking Lamictal. I see those at DS taking this med are happy with it. I already notice that I am not hungry all the time as i was when taking depakote. Sleep is better too. Mood control about the same.
I have put on at least 80 lbs with depakote over 17 years. I hope that lamictal will help control and reduce my weight.

My first BP med was Lithium..I gained 80 Lbs in 3 months...uugh
Then went toxic,and was taken off Lithium...weight stayed on.

I used to take Lamictal and I liked it very much!!! Some days my vision would be a bit blurry, but nothing too bad.
I liked it so much that I told the doctor that I wanted to try to go without it, LOL!!!! I thought I didn't need meds since I was doing so well!!!
Big mistake. I had to go back on meds and Lamictal wasn't one of them. I can't remember why. Maybe I wanted to try something that wouldn't mess with my vision!!!
I hope you do great on the Lamictal!!! Maybe it will help with your mood control, as time goes on!!!
