I am a new member to the Bipolar Disorder support group. I also suffer from clinical depression and self-injury. I am a husband (although recently separated), a father of a 2 year-old son, an avid PC gamer, and an amateur programmer. I love music, movies, and TV.

Unfortunately, my bipolar disorder tends to cause me to enjoy less of these things in my life and makes this separation from my wife more difficult. I take medication for my depression but have yet to address the bipolar issue. I used to see a psychologist yet he kept prescribing meds that cost nearly $100/month so I had to stop.

My story is short. Verbally abused by my family so I left them. I started cutting at age 14 and am now 25. Diagnosed with depression in my late teens then bipolar in the last year. I married a wonderful woman, although she changed and became a liar and a thief. I live in my sons room as I don't have enough cash to actually leave her.
