my daughter is not diagnosed with bipolar due to her age she is 12 houwever she is being treated as having bipolar tendencies they wont officially diagnos her until she is older, i have dont alot of research and i understand, what i am looking for as a parent is are they any tricks or easy things to do (not that any of it is easy) on how to deal with her episodes when she is upset and angry and ways to help try and calm her down,

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

And as young as she is , many Dr's , psychiatrists , are hesitant to give certain meds to young people .
Although Benadryl is used in psychiatric Hospitals to calm patients down.
On DS, there is a Group, specifically for Family And Friends Of Bipolar .
You may have more luck finding help over there

Prepubescent is a hard age for kids along with the raging hormones..
There are several things that could be going on so it is important to be working with a professional..

Is a wonderful book. I used it for our autistic/bipolar child when he was about 10-17 years old. He is now 22 and I still refer to it.
