Huggles. I'm sorry you are feeling so scared. I really hope the disability come through. I, too wonder if working during the process with have an impact on it.

You'll likely have to appeal through a lawyer pretty much everybody does. Just remember that you get up to so much retro frok the time you are denied. My first check was 2000.check the 211phone number for United Way they maybe able to get you on a housing program. My positive thoughts go out to you.

I think coming up with a backup plan would be good. Is there anyone (family members, friends) who you can stay with, in case you lose your apartment? Hopefully that won't happen. In the event that it does, is there another place which you can stay temporarily?

What about resources in the community? Can you find any mental health supports?

I'm sorry TC - I know you've been struggling for a long time now. Hopefully, disability will come through. Thinking of you and hoping life turns for the best. Change happens - it just takes time, right?

the thing that I find so hard about life is the tremendous uncertainty we face everyday...we never know how life will work out.

Sometimes we have to go forward to make change happen so that we can have a better life. You have worked a series of jobs that take more than they give not your fault welcome to the modern day workplace...

I guess the question is what do you want for yourself? What is the best way to go about making it a reality...create a step by step plan. You may be getting what you need out of life....but all of your posts seem to indicate you are not getting what you want...

What do you want TC? What would make life better for you? What's the plan for getting there?

I found that I didn't get what I wanted out of life because I was a passenger on the bus I followed the path of least resistance but when I wanted to drive the bus things started to happen...

Is there any work you can do from home? I think that would be good for you. Sorry you are going through this.

Tc, MayB has some great advice. I hope there is someone you can work with to help with disability processes. Or a local organization that can offer some supportive environments. I have learned things can start to turn around once you've partnered with some help. Yes, it can take some time, but I think it's important to not be alone with all this and keep reaching out.

That's great TC that you can work until you get disability if you can live on that amount....

But what are you going to do to make life " liveable" until disability comes through?

With it taking so long to get Disability into action you may have to just deal with a few lower rung jobs until you can get on your feet.

Have you looked into places where it'd be just you and llight paperwork, like a storage facility? there generally pretty low key in the offices. Or even a U Haul rental person at one of the Gas Stations that rent out Uhauls.

Or even job in the food industry, just so you can pay the bills.

do you like kids? Do you get along well with them? What about getting your credits to Substitute Teach? They pay isn't too bad and you'd not be stuck in the same situation everyday?

If you like gardening, my local "Farmer & Plant" place is always looking for help this time of year as all the flowers are blooming and need cut back and new starts planted...

TC, try not to stress. Try finding something to just get you by while your in between jobs.
