Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I spent the entire day putting in resumes at temp companies, applied at a home healthcare place and also had an interview for a part time job with a nonprofit company that is associated with bird sanctuaries. I am worn out mentally. I just feel like I can't make it through another day. I am so sooo tired. And I am sick of the unsolicited advice from family members about how I need to "go back to school". I can BARELY concentrate on the online self paced course I am enrolled in NOW. I doubt highly that I would be successful going to college full time. NOONE in my family seems to get the fact that I struggle even during times when things in my life are on an "even keel". Of course no one seemed to want to come to a family meeting with my psych. when I was in partial hospital.
I am just so depressed that I just want to sleep. I am so tired

Here is my new brother, copper :) He's so tiny! Moo and Tuck were ok with him on first meeting. Rocket due to his severe aggression will never meet Cooper.

I'm sorry about your family not participating. It happened to me too. I'm still angry about it.
You sound like you're doing what you need to do. Bravo.
Try to get some rest no matter what. Take a day off from "life" if you can.
What about school part time instead of fulltime??... Courses online are more difficult... You have to be very structured to follow through and there isn't a teacher available to discuss any problems that may arise... I think a classroom is actually a lot easier...xo
I know that what your going through is hard, incredibly, scary, difficultly, hard but.....
You can't give up!
Your doing so well, you're going to college. and whether its online or at a campus it doesn't matter.
You've had a job, so you know you can do that.
You have a home.
You know that you can work this problem out. You just have to stop the panic and frantic inner and outer thoughts, next you just need to sit back and take a deep breath, in through your mouth and out through your mouth and let yourself relax. Put out the anger, the violence, all of the things that are going to make you boil over soon. Don't try to talk about it now, wait until you get back there and have relaxed and are more receptive to listening.
As for your family, gather them together for dinner or whatever, and nicely and politely tell that you love them, you care about them, and they can have any opinions they want....but that doesn't mean you want to hear them. Tell them you appreciate them you looking out for you, but your a big girl now and you can handle it.
Let them know that all the pressuring they give you about going back to school full time do nothing but upset you and make you question your decision, even though you know they mean well. You've got this.
Last but by far not least...tell them that their constant comments and and inquisitions. in public do nothing for you except embarrass you and it needs to stop, or you won't be able to hang with them any longer.
