on top of the mess I am in with unemployment almost running out, I was told during a phone interview today that they would not even consider me due to my current and past credit issues. I am about ready to put everything on the curb, pack up my clothes and leave. Or maybe drive my car into the lake. I am starting to feel pretty numb. I keep trying so hard, but I keep getting kicked down. I'm tired. Sooooo tired.

You may recall I write that my sister and he husband were in an affair with my brothers wife. It's been almost a year. Mom last week asked me to invite my sisters boys to a birthday at my house for my brothers daughter. I was on my way to pick up the boys when my mom called and told me to turn around. Apparently my brother didn't know my nephews were coming and he was livid. I came home to a...

I'm sorry your life is so stressful right now. Did the ESC tell you that your couldn't use their Job Finder Services because your credit rating was too bad? That's not right and it's also illegal, they can't discriminate against you due to your Credit Rating.
At most office there is a large open room where there are Computers, fax machines, etc., so that you can search for jobs and send out resumes. If I were you I would type up a nice Resume and go to your local ESC office and look for jobs on the computers, etc. You don't have to check in or call ahead or anything you just go and use the services.
Craigslist can also be a very good place to find work, I've found many jobs from it.
Are you still doing the Medical Coding school? Because if you can finish that, you'll have job security, those folks are always needed. Can you apply for a Grant since you're in school to help pay your cost, or as a last resort a low interest student loan?
Try to calm down, use some breathing technicques, take a very, very hot bath, scented with a nice soft oil or beads, to promote good sleep. While your in the tub find a happy memory and just focus on it, then when you get out of the bath go straight to bed, get a good nights sleep and worry about this stuff in the morning. Putting it off for a night will not hurt.
It'll work out, I know it's scary, but your a tough cookie, you'll be okay and it will work out.
Take care,

Having been through the job search I sure know what you are going through and can sympathize....
These days many companies run credit checks and background checks however these are mostly corporations .
All this stuff is so stressful! There are community agencies that can help with this process. I don't know if you have ever considered going to the Department of Rehabilitation it's a federal program and every state has a local office. They were very helpful to me in finding a job and paying for my training.
All this to say TC this is hard to go through especially alone...can you get some support?
Can you boost up on seeing you tdoc and pdoc? Any crisis services in your area?
We all confront difficult situations so glad you posted today you will remain in our thoughts and prayers today....please update us! Please reconsider self-harm....
That's personal info...very unfair to judge a person by their credit rating.
You know, Salvation Army paid my rent when I got out of the phosp. I would have lost the apt. otherwise.
