((Hugs))... be well soon, TC
I really get your thyroid distress as well as abandonment. I had thyroid cancer. I've been thru massive hypothyroid, the low, almost dead side of metabolism.
The thyroid is crazy powerful! Crazy! And doctors don't get it. He'll, if they "got it" they probably could not practice due to disability! When I had thyroid cancer I fired 2 doctors in 6 months! Actually, fired one as a positive way to show with her abandonment.
For temporary relief, cool showers might help. Dress cool. Keep the room cool. Don't exert yourself! Rest! In bed with a book or movie. Drink lots of water and fluids.
Stay away from things that irritate.
Take and record your temperature a few times a day. If you have a fever, show it to them.
I know I've said too much. If it doesn't help fuhgetuhbiutit.
(((((((((((((Hugs)))))))))))))
Best of all, I survived.
I am sending my best healing thoughts your way.
