Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I'm sorry you're having to deal with this on top of everything else we all go through on a daily basis, people just don't understand and rarely think about their actions/words and what they can do to push us further into ourselves.
I think you have the right idea about getting out of this, it seems like a rational choice and I think you're being very strong- it's a decision that shows you know how to decide what's best for you. I envy your strength! Keep it up.
Grr, Frustrating!!!! I need some good to start happening.
My husband and I had some royal arguements and at one point I told him not to view me as his wife because if I had the money I would divorce him.
Then one day my friend that is visiting us told me to cut it out with the fighting. I hate to admit it but my husband and I were arguing so much that we would lose ourselves in a fight whether the children were around or not. My friend was wise and told me to stop fighting around my kids and to stop fight period. It took some effort but we stopped fighting around the kids and the arguing started to reduce when the kids weren't around.
Things can change though because my husband went from the most unsupportive person to my biggest cheerleader and protector. He even goes over the top with openning car doors for me and other general nice things.
I guess I owe my friend a big thanks for getting me to see it was hurting the kids to argue in front of them, cause after we stopped arguing all the time we started talking.
I hope things get better for you.
I will say the day he threw my MI in my face will not be forgotten. I can remember everything about that moment as clear as day even though I have trouble with memory usually. There was a lot of pain from that action.
