So it seems even on my meds im experiencing a smaller degree of mania. I have a boyfriend of almost 7 years. I broke up with him when I was a freshman in college and I told him it was because we were fighting so much which was part of it... the other part was I wanted to party all the time and I was manic I just didn't know that it was mania. I was diagnosed with schizoaffective 2 years after that. I also started kissing other guys, blacking out, and even having sex behind his back so I had to break it off. We got back together when the mania calmed down but the following year i had a smaller fit of mania and went sleeping around. He still doesn't know. I thought the meds were what killed my sex drive but when I was in Puerto Rico visiting friends this really hot guy at the airport started talking to me and it turned into me giving him my phone number. He called me until he found out I had a bf now he texts me every once in a while. I find him more attractive then my bf and I'm questioning my love for my bf. I want to go out with this other guy but he won't unless i'm single i know that. My bf hasn't done anything wrong he is awesome. I don't know what is going on. We also work together and car pool and its been almost 7 years together. I don't want to hurt him. Maybe the voices are getting to me and I just need therapy. I just moved back with my parents so I don't have a therapist yet. Any advice???? Please help me!!!!

It's good for young people to go out, date and have fun..
If you're finding you're hyper sexual I would talk to your doctor...That will lead to risk taking and often bad choices that can hurt you
Therapy can help a lot with coping techniques...
Just because he's a good guy doesn't mean you want to love and spend your life with him... It sounds like you appreciate him for the great person that he is but you aren't in a committed state of mind..
