Can lamictal cause you to have no ambition? It is working very well as a mood stabilizer for me. It's just that I do not feel like doing anything. I'm not feeling depressed.

Strangely it is making me want to do more things. o.o It can in theory yes. Did they start you on the lowest dose?? It's possible but I believe more common with, say, Abilify etc. Lamictal is a seizure med first and foremost, so I don't think it works quite the same.

But a lot of the mania-suppressors do that, or at least it seems that way at first. "Just ok" feels very strange for a while.

It could be one of my other meds. I take a total of 15 different medications, so it's hard to sort out what side effects are caused by each med. I've been taking lamictal for a few years now and I was just wondering if this was a side effects of the lamictal.

Is it recently that you don't feel like doing anything or has it been that way since you started lamictal years ago? I have been on lamictal for years too, and I love it. I am on 12 different meds and I agree it is hard to tell which one does what. Confusing. Lately I have been going through the same blah feeling, not quite depressed but eh something. I see me pdoc on Tuesday so I will tell him. UGH. Good luck.
