Just wanted to give a thank you to Mid, Arfie, Malibumark, Greeneyes, Mlro, Girlincalif, and Suncloudjd! For me it is getting so over whelmed I lose control .
and snap .
I tend to over exaggerate my situation and let my emotions get away from me .
Sometimes it feels as tho I have no control until I have settled down .
meds or no meds .
I take responsibility for my rage but only after wards when I have settled down enough to realize what I have just done , when raging I always feel justified at the time, and that is scary .
For me dysphoric mania requires medication to keep it under control.. Sorry if you're going through this sweetie.. It's nasty...xo
My emotions were towering waves, destructive in their wrath. Honestly, I could not tell where the rage impulse came from, but it was always selfish.
Taking responsibility, whatever the cause of the problem, is the way to go.
Anti-psychotic and anti-depressant med withdrawal as well as taking street drugs (cocaine & meth) can cause rage, inappropriate anger and going off on others.
Count to 10 or 20.
Take a time out alone.
Do not respond to others in rage or wrath.
Meds and therapy have helped me a whole lot. Get a strategy.
Remember, silence is golden. (especially when we can keep our mouths shut) Yep. Pure Gold.

I was a breaker of inanimate things .
Or I would rage at myself .
Getting on the right meds has totally helped me keep the rages in check.
It's funny....I can sometimes still feel them...but they never get expressed .
Like the rage is coming from another room ....does that make sense ?
