Carry a set of points or questions with you, for sure and have documents ready and organized and I'm sure others have more advice.

What kind of questions?

I don't know if you will read this on time. When I went I was very honest about what I go through. I didn't try to make myself sound worse than I am or better. I don't know why but I got it on the first try. It could be that I qualified as a child for SSI or maybe it was just God working in my life. I honestly thought that I was going to be deined because my pdoc is against me getting it.

During my appt, the pdoc tried to rush me through.

He asked a lot of questions about ....did I get along with my c0-workers, was I ever arrested,

I had to bring up, I had suicidal thoughts and often had hallusinations..I'm sure he would have never taken that route of questioning, until I brought it up.

I wish you luck on getting your SSI! I hated going to those doctors...they make you feel like a number, not a person with unique feelings and problems. When I went the questions were very generic and I had to volunteer most of the information that I felt like he needed to know. I'm usually a very passive, quite person but asserting yourself and speaking up really goes a long way in getting a positive outcome with these people. I got approved on my first try.
