Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I have learned EARLY on not to rely on people's support just because they are related. Love comes from all walks of life. Don't lose hope...look around you. They are there...it could be a teacher,DS member, church...a volunteering job....you never know where you will be touched by a loving CARING person.
It can be hard when the people that you expect support from are unable or unwilling to give it. Support groups like these can help. It helps to know that you are not alone in the way you feel.
Sending you good thoughts.
My mom was okay, but she died before I was diagnosed. God--
I know not to talk to my father--he's not that great at being supportive, but I dont' worry about him anymore.
Eventually, the wounds heal, they do.
