I get paranoid I guess once in a while...I seriously consider or the thought keeps coming to me that I am being drugged or poisoned in my food. I eat it anyway questioning and nothing happens though i do have a cold. Does that mean I'm headed to a psychotic episode? This has happened before that led to a bad mixed state that landed me in the hospital. I don't remember if I told them I sometimes thought I was being poisoned. I will think it for short periods of time but then feel ok. It would be so easy for him to do it though...ugh...whats wrong with me. Are there triggers?

I accept bouts of paranoia as a normal part of my condition. When they come up, I do an inventory of my environment. If there is nothing new in my physical realities, I put it on the same level as sneezing in a dust storm. It happens. Life goes on.
As long as I can recognize it may be paranoia or I can except a trusted person telling me I'm being paranoid, I'm OK.
It's when I believe the paranoia is real that hen I'm entering psychosis and need to ask for help.
