Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
What about trying the opposite...I mean take your pills at night and hopefully you will sleep while they're doing what they do. Sure some meds you may have/be able to take during the day that won't put you to sleep.
I just know how hard it is to sleep all day and then get a decent nights sleep. Shift work sux.
Something to discuss with your Dr.(s) to be sure. Sure hope you can get your circadian rhythm back soon. oxo
Some times meds temporarily help but they eventually loose their effectiveness. Then I am back to square one. I have tried every thing. Sitting in the sunlight (which for some reason actually makes me more tired) waking up at a certain time and mushing on through the day completely drained like a zombie and still be wired when night time rolls around.
I'm just wired this way. And nothing seems to fix it. It wouldn't be so bad if I only slept 8 hours but I sleep 12 hours or more. today I didn't wake up till noon and my butt was draaaaging the rest of the day until about one hour ago when it got dark. Now it's too late to do anything like make the very important phone calls I have to make. Or call my doctor!
hang in there x
