I used to be an executive in the food service industry running concessions at coliseums and racetracks, and arenas and stuff. Then I joined the US Army. When my BP was dx'd I had no choice but to retire and try to adapt to a lot slower life style.

Lately I feel like I used to but now it is in running the household. I keep close watch on our expenses and income, do a lot of driving, and volenteer work. A lot of days it seems like a real job.

It is still hard to get a day off though there is always something to do from dishes and laundry to cutting grass. But I know when it becomes too much I can sort of take small breaks for a couple of days.

I wonder sometimes if it is my bp that keeps me active or just the need to feel responsible for something. Dose anyone else struggle with not being able to find time for themselves.
