I love my Seroquel XR. It does help me sleep but I do take it with a benzo. It doesn't give me weird dreams at all. But I do feel overly tired the next day. Don't know if it's the depression or the med.

I used to take Seroquel-I always had the tiredness the next day, that was one of the reason they took me off of it-that and because it didn't seem to really help. I am glad it works for people

i take seaquil too it helps me sleep nothing else isn't for deprsion or something. i don't have weard dreams though just tiried all the time

i was on seroquel. didnt make me tired or cause weird dreams.

I was on it and LOVED it....however I am being weaned off of it because it's causing my blood sugar to soar and my liver enzymes to be whacked out....I'm going on Lithium...I have tried everything else and Lithium is my last option...

I'm on Lithium and Seroquel and a heap of other stuff because my drug tolerance is really high and I have a severe dose of Bipolar. I'm on 800mg Seroquel which is the highest I've heard of. Even at that dose it doesn't make me sleepy the next day. It also doesn't always put me to sleep and I have to use Valium when that happens as the less sleep I get the whole Bipolar cycle starts and I easily go into suicidal depressions. But for me, the worst side effect, partially because I take so much I am sure, is ravenous hunger 24/7, even in the middle of the night. And on top iof that is the low thyroud fucntion that Lithium causes, the lower metabolic rate because of that and the Thyroid meds I am on vary widely in whether they work - I'm also going up and up on that med too. Arrggh Bipolar, the Gift that keeps on Giving!! lol

Yea I have had the bizarre dreams.; but I thought that was just me, or maybe a combination of meds.. In fact most of my dreams are bizarre and make no sense..

One specifically on Seroquel - Um I dunno...

But here is one I have had - I was naked in the boys locker room (I am an adult) and turned on the shower and chocolate milk came out.. another one and this was not on Seroquel (on Saphris actually) and it consisted of something like the characters of Twilight with Pokemon during the Civil War? I also tell my children strange things when I am asleep like a few days ago I told them while I was asleep I couldn't get up because the doctors were taking all my blood out and I had to go to the island?

My eldest son used to love to give me the phone when I was napping and I would have the most interesting conversations with whoever was on the phone - very very bizarre and usually about what I was dreaming about - well I assume that would be what it was.. I had no idea I was doing that because I was still asleep and I would hear about it when my friend would call back later and be like.. well um y'know what you said? They knew I was asleep too - dorks.. Also I sounded really drunk too :-/ My kids have been instructed to never ever give me the phone when I am asleep, even if while I am asleep I may seem to wake a little and tell them to give me the phone. I have gone so far as to say they will be grounded if they do this.. (it was getting bad & it would'nt be severe, just wanted them to know I mean business - hahaha)
