Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
You may seriously want to consider calling your pdoc. You sound a bit manic, in my completely unprofessional opinion, and maybe there's something he or she can do for you. If they won't listen maybe you should try seeing someone else, maybe they will try different treatment?
I've felt somewhat similar to how you're feeling, with little differences here and there. I was hospitalized when my pdoc heard about it, he was worried I was going to do something dangerous without thinking. I hope things work out for you, make sure you talk to someone! Hugs!
When I start to feel that way now I go into a room by myself (usually the bathroom), lock the door, and start taking deep breaths. If you use controlled breathing exercises you can calm yourself down for a bit, then use that time to call a friend or relative that you can talk to about what's happening. Something else that helps me is to put a cool wash rag on the back of my neck (I'm not sure why but it works).
It sounds to me like the situation you have with your sister isn't working very well for you and I would highly recommend you talk to your doctor about creating a support network so that you always have someone you can speak with at times like this.
Yes, I feel like you do. All the people I know seem so happy. I have not friends in this town that I can really confide in, call in the middle of the night, reach out for support. It's lonely I know.
I hope you can have a better day. Know we care.
