This is interesting, I never thought about it till you brought it up but I have had allot of shoulder pain since I started taking Lamictal. I never put the two together. I'm on 300mg daily and have various aches and pains.

Hmmm. I take 300MG daily in addition to Geodon & Xanax and have not noticed painful joints. Withdrawl. Maybe. Not a former herion addict, did coke in the 80"s & early 90"s & used herion occasionally in "speed balls"... but could be withdrawl. Write down the whats, whens, ifs, hows etc of when you hurt & see if it can be attributable to somethi ng else & ofcourse, let shrink know.

Nope, no joint pain for me at all. I would think if joint pain is a side effect that you would have it in several or all joints, not just one in a specific area. Does Lamictal mess with calcium? Maybe that is part of the problem? Or, maybe Florida should stop hitting your knee with her shoulder, lol

no It is in all of my joints. Its just that for some reason my right nee hurts worse than all the others. And I have this pain all the time it doesn't go away, but it's more noticeable when I try to move around. I've never had joint pain before and the only thing I'm on is lamictal. Also the joint pain started when I started taking lamictal and pain increased as my dosage increased. That's why I think it is the lamictal.

I was just wondering if any one else had any pain. I also think it has something to do with me being a former heroin addict. I know that's just a theory of mine but it's similar to what happens when some one goes through heroin with draw.

I actually have noticed that as well. I have also read that Lamictal can cause deep muscle pain which I have often. I can tell it's linked to Lamictal because when I go off of it the pain goes away. Still, I think taking Lamictal is worth the side effect.

I hope that my Lamictal isn't the cause of my deep muscle pain, I was told I had fibromyalgia... (!!)

yeah I think I just read something about lamictal and figromyalgia. I'll have to look for that article again I wasn't paying close attention to it.

I never had aches on lamictal.

haven't had any pain directly related to lamictal atleast not to my knowledge. Though I fell down a flight of stairs while back and am always sore. Should talk to doc about that they would know better then anyone the side effects. Only tried herion once cant say I liked it, had pretty nasty body aches after years of being a meth head and spent a fortune in dentist bills, but sorry drunk getting off topic.

I take lamictal not only as a mood stabilizer but also for neuropathy in my legs and nope havent noticed in the last 7 years that it has caused deep mucle pain but will say that if I go for days without taking it not only does it fuck witht the mood issue but the neuropathy comes back 2Xs as bad
