Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
I...
forget that emotions can't control me.
forget that I have a choice of reactions.
forget to find the root of my 'true' anger.
forget to always heed my triggers.
I headed the list with "often make" not always make. If you do some of them then you recognize it, if you overcame doing some of them, or even one of them, then it's spectacular, if you don't do any of them then you're extremely fortunate.
..and Screwtape you can bite me.
I have stopped being ashamed.
Oh and Screwtape, I took what you said the wrong way. I'm sorry that I jumped like that.
Keep in mind that the following list is not in any particular order.
1. We don't have any concept of money
2. We don't take their medicine properly all the time.
3. We don't use or know of or even try to find the free resources available.
4. We don't accept help from just anyone.
5. We don't plan for future episodes.
6. We don't have a support team.
7. We don't take care of their physical health or care about hygiene.
8. We don't apologize after an episode.
9. We don't listen to others about episodes.
10.We don't realize there's nothing to be ashamed of with the disorder.
fixed. :-)
