what upsets me the most is tonight at the grammy awards everyone is praising her where were they when she needed the praise before she died? where were these people ? they wait to say good things about her after she is gone? how terribly sad this world is to talk so terrible about someones while they are alive only to praise them of their talents long after they have left this world they all should have praised her and encouraged her while she was alive and struggling so much..........rest in peace whitney may god bless you i pray you are there singing your heart out with all the other angels in heaven

I was very sad to hear of the death of Whitney Houston. She was my favorite singer in the world. And while I think some people were mean-spirited when it came to her problems, it seemed like most people I talked to really were worried about her. And after being in a relationship with an addict and doing everything within my power for him, I can tell you that no amount of money or power can make a person quit abusing drugs and alcohol. The addict has to want it. And Whitney's closest loved ones tried many times to help her. It's so sad that she couldn't conquer her addiction.

Overall, it's just terrible to lose someone with such immense talent. She had the most beautiful voice I've ever heard and I doubt anyone will ever touch her talent. Rest in peace, Whitney.

Yes I agree It it is very sad that Whitney died. so young Whitney was a great person Yes she used drugs. but don't remember Whitney for all of the bad things that she went through. Let remember Whitney for all of the wonderful things she did and the great music that she brought to us. Yes drug addiction is bad But if she had not gotten mixed up with bobby Brown She might still be here today. He brought Whitney down another thing that makes me angry is how. people wait to say good things about a person until their gone. People should have stood by Whitney when she was going through a hard time Yes Her family did try to help her. But she is gone we will Always Love Her Shes up in heaven now with the angels. Singing Her heart out. . and she is watching over us.

Whitney was human like the rest of us. She and the many others who have struggled with addictions and lost the fight are examples of how very fragile life is. When we are younger, we feel we are indestructable or that this only happens to others.
Elvis, Michael Jackson, and Ms Houston led lonely, sad lives that only they and their loved ones witnessed first hand. Perhaps their loved ones and friends tried to get them help to no avail. Only the ones who are abusing have to be willing to admit they have a problem and then deal with it. Addiction of any kind is very difficult to kick and to soley lay blame on family, doctors, or others for enabling the one with the addiction, a bit off mark IMO.

Yes, I feel we wait until it is too late to say nice things about ppl which is a real travisty, but it happens all the time. My own brothers death has shown me that we might not have time to say our goodbyes or worse....to say and show our love for them.

She was so beautiful, talented and spunky. Probably hit her absolute peak in 1992, with at least 5 Grammy-winning hits on The Bodyguard soundtrack. When you're on top of this world, where else is there to go, but down, and into the next world? Or, perhaps we go sideways. When we've reached the end of "me", perhaps it's time to go volunteer to help tribes in Africa or someplace...

(sigh) We'll keep listening to you, Miss Whitney.
