What should i do about the lease vader?

Monday it willbe on e month since Brad took his life and it has been such a big trauma.The cats have been ornery.Kramer just did number two on the carpet which I cleaned all morning and little Tooey just coughed up a very big hairball.They were close to Brad..but now I have a problem.I dont know wha to do? Brad and I were had a month to month lease and he was talking to the landlord about a 2 year lease.My brother Stanley told me not to sign any papers as of now..but to be a bit particular about the lease.There is no way that i can committ to a 2 year lease.I can committ to a 6 month lease or 1 year lease..but the land lord hasnt contacted me.In seattle...when you have got prooperty and you are without a will..brads sister
has to wait 45 days after his death to get the titles to the car or to sell them.Noone is allowed to drive these cars or motorcycle.I am not permitted to let other people drive them. Brad
died without a will and he didnt leave any money
for anyo0ne to bury him.Gayle had to get a loan fjust for Brad to be cremated.It cost 2600.00 and all of us dont have it.We are on the verge of
being penniless.Brad left a check from the unemployment for 611..plus money in his savings account but it it just enough to bury him.ANd I want to know why.As for me..I have got the funds to stay here for another 6 months.I cant leave.I cant afford it.I don t have the bread to do so.Plus I have got 3 cats and I refuse to put the cats thourough the trama o fmoving again.Kramer the last time she got hysterical in the air.Tooey started to scream.They dont like to be in the car.They like to be at home.I have to wait 45 days for the death certificiate.It will cost me 40.00...but what shaii I tell the landlord? I msam here just shaking.I dont know what to say or what to do and i dont know of any one that can help me...what would you do? Help...vader and the cats...meow....just

Is there a tenant helpline in your city? Where I live, there is a tenant helpline that will assist people with their questions and problems.

I agree with widowat39. There should be some sort of hotline for renting issues. As a tenant, you do have certain rights. Perhaps the landlord would accept a 6 month lease due to the circumstances?? It wouldn't hurt to talk to him and explain your position.
If all else fails, do you have a Pastor or a Social worker you could get advice from? Good luck with this, Vader! Hugs, Judy

I found out good news today.Number one...the reason why people are evicted in seattle are 2 things...scams and non payment of rent.I have always paid the rent on time and was late only once when they made a mistake on Brads check.2.I met the people who own the house.They are brother and sister and believe me...I asked.She does real estate and you have to go to school and have a license here for that.3--I asked my social worker.But I am split in two.I have to wait in seattle 6 weeks for the death certificate.And it will cost me 40.00.We have to wait 6 weeks in order to sell the cars and motorcycle.I dont know where Brad was getting his money because he spent a whole lot from January to April.I think he planned this whole thing and I want to know why he hated me so much in the end.I didnt do anything to him.The cats have been stinky.Tooey has been getting hairballs and Kramer just did number two again on the carpet.So I threw it out...The odor was killing me and i couldnt get it out.I am going to call the renters hotline Monday.

Some places have a help line for women who are in your shape. You were maybe not totally taken care of , but you were certainly were left in a bad way thanks to this unexpected suicide. Try calling your Local United Way First Help Line, or just the United way. They know of all sorts of people that might help you. In Florida, it is totally stupid too. My son comitted suicide DEC 10th,2007. I borrowed my sister's credit card to be able to cremate him. I have not been able to pay her a penny, but she or her husband have never complained, but it worries me everyday and night. He had a motorcycle that he bought from us. He owed us $3000 dollars, the motor cycle was still in our name, and my son was on the insurance for both motorcycles.(we had 3, now only have 2.) There was a 14 yr. old daughter and a 19 yr son. None of us can hire a lawyer to file probate. The pnly posession is his house and contents. My grand son and wife and baby are living ther now. The bill comes to "The Estate Of Steven........The mortage company will take our checks to pay the bill, but will not tell us the balance or anything else. James and I, My grandson, and his Mother have paid it so far, but I cannot pay it anymore. I have resigned myself to the fact that the house will be foreclosed, and someone will get a good deal on a nice place. He jad money in the bank, and we cannot get it, but they are charging a dead man a fee every month for his account. I am so stressed about it all, but I have worked my way to acceptance. My memories are not in that house. My memories are in my heart and will be till I die. I am acepting it now. You try the United Way. Love,Peggy

I am senidng thisn as a reply.I contacted the landlord today and he was shocked.And he told me this...Number one---the house isnt for sale and he did not know how Brad got this information.Number two-the HOUSE IS NOT IN FORECLOSURE AND WHO EVER POSTED THIS INFORMATION IS GOING TO HEAR A VERY MAD PERSON.THIS INFORMATION IS FALSE.NUMBER THREE--tHE LANDLORD TOLD ME THAT HE CANT GIVE A LEASE FOR 2 YEARS.iT WILL BE FOR 6 MONTHS AND IT HAS TO BE AFTER HE IS FINISHED WITH THE TALKS TO THE BANK.I CALLED THE TENANTS HELPLINE AND AM GOING TO SEE ABOUT THE BILLS ON TUESDAY.I AM GOING TO CHANGE THE PHONE.VERIZON IS JUST TOO EXPENSIVE.MY CABLE IS GOING T=UP TO 90.00 A MONTH AND i CANT AFFORD IT..DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THE CABLE COMPANIES HAVE ACCOUNTS FOR SENIORS///PLEASE LET ME KN OW.AND ALL OF THIS HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE..BUT GAYLE CAME OVER YESTERDAY AND GUESS WHAT///SHE BROUGHT ME FOOD,SHE BROUGHT ME BOOKS AND CAT FOOD.THEN WE DISCUSSED THE BILLS.I HAVE TO PAY THE BILLS UNTIL JULY 15TH...THEN IT GOES TO THE ESTATE.I WILL FILE A CHANGE OF ADDRESS FOR BRAD ON JULY 15TH AND THEN IT WILL BE OUT OF MY HANDS.THE CATS HAVE BEEN STINKY AND RIGHT NOW I ACHE ALL OVER.KRAMER AND TOOEY WERE ON THE ROOF OF THE HOUSE AND THEY GOT STUCK.I HAD TO USE 2 LADDERS TO BRING THEM DOWN AND GOING ON A LADDER IS EXERCISE ENOUGH.WHY DID BRAD LEAVE ME THIS NIGHTMARE/? AND NO MORE MEN...AFTER 13 AND HALF YEARS...NO MORE...I HAVE HAD IT.I REFUSE TO MOVE OR SELL THIS HOUSE.AND I REFUSE TO GIVE UP MY CATS FOR ANYONE.THEY ARE MY CATS AND NOONE IS GOING TO TELL ME ANY DIFFERENT.AS USUAL..THE MONEY IS TIGHT..WHAT ARE WE WIDOWS SUPPOSE TO DO FOR MONEY?

it is July 11th.Brad has been dead for 7 weeks and it has been a total nightmare.First of all,Brad lied to me about the house being in foreclosure.If this happens in seattle...the owner must send you a certified letter and tell you that you have 90 days to vacate the place.You are given 90 plus he must give you back your security deposit.Others havent been so fortunate.All she got was 500.00.And that isnt enough for the down payment.When the house is on the market...and there is no sale...the bank will meet with you and try to negotiate the rent.It wont be as low as the previous rent..but this is what they told me.You are given 90 days here.and thats the max.So I am not worried but moving with 3 cats is a nightmare.Kramer has been a little stinky.She cries for Brad every night and she is meowing now..Little Tooey couldnt care less..but I dont want to move again with the cats.This will be the 3rd time and cats do not like to move nor are they known for their patience.Kramer the last time ran away and we couldnt find her..she was across the street so this is what I have to think about..but the landlord hasnt spoken to me.Thanks again.

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
