I have to write at least a few columns today because they will affecting all of us.If I dont write this column, some people here will be furious but I am writing for a good friend of mine back in New York.I have known her since 1953 and we went to school together. That is almost a lifetime but dears..remember this..people change and their interests change and we are not there all the time to see them.I have to tell his story because I am going to send him 75.00 tomorrow because right now he is broke..This is what happened. He and his wife were going through very serious problems.Since I left the East Coast in 1995 and it has been 5 years since I have been back..I dont know what they are or care to.One day he and his wife had a big fight and she threw all his clothes out in the street of the city.He was sleeping in his car when tne New York police told him that he couldnt do it.It is illegal to sleep in your car in the city of New York.It is called disorderly conduct and you get a 75.00 fine. They took him to a shelter and he almost did not believe it.He never knew that some of these people exist..one day during his separation he entered a singles chat on line. This lady was absolutely beautiful and had a lot of books..since I love books and such..she wasnt that bad to me.She was nice to me when I lost Frank. He left his wife of 39 years for her.He only knew her for 6 weeks. He took her to Paris and Spain and England and brought her back to the house. Then things started to happen and I began to think that this lady wasnt all there.Since I live in seattle and such..I cannot advise him what to do.AFter a while,he began to realize that leaving his first wife was a mistake. He realized that part of it was his fault because he was overinvolved with sports and coaching.Well, last week he returned home from work and guess what? All of the furniture in his house is gone! She left him the basics and such..but she cleaned his out.She also took out of the joint account at least 10,000.00! He called me up and he was crying and crying like a baby.He said that he has realized that this is his fault because he never shared the death of his father with her and anyone.Right now,he has got no money and I arranged for someone who does a food bank to deliver some food for him.He is also broke and he doesnt know what to do.I told him about this group and he said that he is afraid to talk on the Internet.I told him..look..not all people are bad apples.I told him the next time that he wants to go out to always meet in a public place.I have got a voice mail and p.o.box.Noone knows where I live. But why would he marry someone that he met on line? I hope that he has learned his lesson. Not everything is what it seems. He is lucky that he is alive.Men and ladies..if you are looking for a date and companionship..please be careful..this lady took advantage of a man who was grieving, maried him and took his money and ran.I feel sorry for him.But I have known him all of my life and I know that he wouldnt do this unless he had a good reason. His kids do not know and I will respect his wishes and not tell them..I will just send him the money and get in touch with some people in New Jersey and New York that can help him. What would you do? What would you say?

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
We had to take 6 months of premarital counseling (my pastor's requirement for all couples) and have now been married 4.5 years.
It isn't all bad.
Still I feel bad for your friend. I'll pray for a turn around in his sad situation.
You didn't offend.
Take care.
