My Mom was killed in a car accident 4 years ago. She was 63yo. I thought she would be here forever! I would try to call her and realize she is no longer "available". But, I talk to her all the time. I truly believe they are always with us and listening to us. Probably answering us too but we can't hear them. I live my life like she is by my side and watching. I surely don't want her thinking I am not living up to expectations, I don't want to let her down so I live life to the fullest. I found a relative that I was not aware of and she grew up with my mother. (They were cousins) She came to visit and is psychic. She went thru my house and took pictures. There was this "orb" over the bed. We blew the picture up and oh my gosh! My Mom's face! I love it! Death cannot break our bonds of love. She is with you, Talk to her out loud, how you are doing and what you are feeling. Amazing how much better you will feel!

And I just watched a powerful movie recently, The Crossing Guard, starring Jack Nicholson, David Morse, Anjelica Houston and Robin Wright, where Anjelica was in a grief support group, mourning the loss of her daughter, and the one guy said "I miss ME."

I think we can all relate to that. It's like I miss the BEST PART OF ME. The light-hearted, fun-loving, happy-go-lucky, take life as it comes ME. That part is gone, or, at least in moratorium, until it's ressurrected, by someone...for now, that guy has been replaced by a sort of wicked, brooding, potentially violent type...a guy that I don't really like, but it is what it is...

I've been carrying on... with a big hole in my heart.

My house is not in the best of order.....I cannot bring myself to do anything about it. Oh well! I lost my Mommy 5 wks ago and she went 11 months before she was supposed too. It is like she was ripped from my life & I am traumatized that she is gone. My sis & I were her caregivers for 13 yrs & was my whole life. Now I do not know what to do with myself. I feel so lost & very sad! It will take time is what I hear. It took a long time after my Daddy passed 7 yrs ago. I still have the hard days on the anniversary of his death , birthday & Holidays.

I lost my mom 10 months ago. It has just about destroyed me. I became very depressed with severe anxiety. I was her caregiver for the last 5 yrs fulltime. My family suffered, I left my job, lost alot of friends. Lost my identity. Who am I without my mom? Well I trying to figure that out. She would want me to be happy and live my life. I don't like who I become so I now its time to change. At least try. I have put my trust in God to lead me in the right direction. Grieving is very lonely. I lost my dad 2 yrs ago, my uncle 3 months ago and a good friend Monday night. He just colapsed and died instantly. Very sad. This is what life has become. People die, more people will die and I have to figure out to live life. Its hard, too hard sometimes. I am still in shock over my friend and have just started to accept that my moms gone. I lost my brother in a car accident six years ago. I know I lost a big part of myself in the process. I also know i lost my parents. My mom is a shell who tries very hard to act normally but not anywhere near who she used to be. My dad acts like he has dealt with my brother passing but really he just pushes it out of mind. So when you say whats happened to me I can relate very closely. I think I have become on the outside a stronger more empathetic person but on the inside I am just as broken as I was when he first passed. I often wonder when I will be able to fix myself. I can help fix others but I cant do the same for me. I think that is so wonderful that you had the chance to see that photo of your mother.
