This has been the longest journey. A never ending road to where? To here. I have been on this website for more then a year now. And out of fear and depression I have accomplished very little. Have had very little to say about this topic.
But I am now ready to stand up and shout it loudly so all can hear and all can maybe be a little wiser. And a little safer.
I have been traveling this road for almost 6 years. It started here on DS and it is going to end here on DS.
I have on my page started writting journals. Starting with the events that led to me being on DS in the first place. Some 6 years ago I came here for support, having lost my husband of 28 years and got much of what I was looking for. Support and concern and caring people. Then I met up with a preditor on here. And it has cost me everything.
I was depressed and sad and valnerable and I opened myself to someone that I thought was going to be good for me. Instead he ended up costing me myself and I want to share my story in my journals. Becasue it is a very long journey and I have very much to say.
I am hoping that because I was so not prepared for what some people come on here and do to other sad and lonley and desperate people. I am now hoping to expose the abuse I suffered at the hands of this preditor and maybe prevent other women on here who are as debilitated and as weak and valnerable as I was, from the same damage.
I am still writting the journals and will continue until I have exposed what a preditor on a help website like DS can do. When some who is looking for kindness and friendship open themselves up to a monster in disguise.
One of the saddest aspects of writting all this out in my journals for me is the fact that I know for a fact that many women on this website fell prey to this preditor.
Mine was not the only manipulated and lied to heart on DS.
So I am inviting you to come and read the journals. If you like. They are long and there will be many. But maybe, just maybe I can help just one other women on this site not be exposed to someone who will hurt them.
And maybe I can aquire some support from others to help me to continue to write and not close up once again.
I have a second page on here. It is the original from back in 2007. I have not used that page for years. But it is where all of this nightmare started. Most of the original journals on that page have been deleted and everything else stipped down to nothing. But I hang on to it as a reminder of what can happen here.
I am also going to post this on other discussion groups in hope of opening as many eyes as possible to the threat.

So be cautious with your online relationships, if you feel it's necessary do a background check on that person.
I have met two of my online pals , sadly one did pass away but they were both good people and good friends.
Never give anybody you meet online money.If they ask for money then you know they have an ulterior motive in mind.
I am so sorry that you were taken advantage of but at a grief point we are at our most vulnerable so everyone who is in pain from grief needs to be wary with strangers.
I was trying to read your journals and a good part of your journals are locked so that they cannot be read by someone who is not on your "friend" list. Can you unlock them so that we can read them and understand what happened, or are you taking "friend" requests so we can read the journals.
As a woman around your age, I'm also concerned (although I don't date right now) and would like to know what happened. If anyone knows, would you please tell me.
