let me start off by sayin i've posted about this before but today i am having one of those days when the memory is coming back and i need some support so forgive me if i offend anyone by posting once again...
December 2006 was one of the Worst months of my life..... i lost my soulmate, the man i loved for 3 years and was engaged to- My Andy.... i miss him a lot ... he was in rehab recovering from a heart attack, he had one week left before he got out of the center and was able to go home and we could proceed with plans of looking for a home together and getting married..... that never happened- i got a phone call that week- it was the usual , us making each other laugh and at the end me saying- i love u Hunny Bunny , and him saying, i love you Cuddles , and he would always end the conversations with "I'm Gone", instead of goodbye- turns out this time he really was gone ............. Forever.... that night he had the second heart attack and died... i've never been so crushed in my whole life , i was / am devastated... my heart died with him..... there will never be another Andy , and yet my heart is still searching, i think the only thing that keeps me going is knowing that one day in heaven we will meet again and i will be able to hug him and hold him in my arms for always! we used to have this sayin- instead of Always and Forever, we signed every love letter with "I WILL LOVE U FOREVER AND ALWAYS"..... i miss being his babe ... i miss everything about him- i've never been this in love with anyone else and maybe i never will be- i don't regret meeting him and loving him- but every now and then i get alittle angry but not at God- at Andy , i remember screaming when i first found out- "How could u leave me in this world all alone"! "I Am so Lost without You"! i wanna go to his gravesite and just lay there and cry and hold the headstone and say i'm here, i love you, i miss you..........but instead i listen to what was our song ( Lifetime of Dreams- by Journey)... that is exactly how our relationship was, we fought, we argued, we made up, but one thing we never forgot was that we loved each other and we always said it even if one of us was mad...... well thanks for listening.....

Just thought I would join this group now that I am a widower. My wife passed away May 28th. She was "The Wind Beneath My Wings". When I met her, I was a drunken, dope smoking, fighting, hell raising biker. She told me if I could get rid of the inner storm within me, that I could be a blessing to people. God placed her in my path to stop me. I have been drug and alcohol free now for 53...

My husband and I got our foster license last month, after 3 years of hard work (we had to start over multiple times due to family dramas and Mom's open heart surgery). We spent a year preparing the whole house, guest rooms, and children's bathroom for older kids of 7 yr old and up. Then we got a call that we have been approved to receive twin newborn premies. What, what?!! Babies!? Premies?!...

I have not lost a lover or spouse but, I lost my 37 year old son, 3 years ago, due to a drunk driver at the wheel of the vehicle my
son was riding in. In your Andy's case, his death too, was so unexpected.
When I hear experiences like yours, it touches me and it kind of makes me mad at those who take their own lives.
Over the years, I have dealt with death with many different age groups. Being a Pastor, I have preached funerals of old people, middle aged people, young people, childhood friends that I had grown up with yet, none of these are easy.
Dealing with a loss of a loved one sometimes takes a long, long time. I still go to my son's grave, just stand, remember, remember and remember. His death was so senseless, the driver so deceitful, and so very lucky.
Back years ago as an ex-biker, I would have stomped this guy in the ground till there was nothing left but a greasy spot. Even as a Christian now, it was very , very, difficult not to want to physically retaliate against him.
My heart and prayers go out to you. I realize Andy can't come back but I pray that you will find peace and comfort in your heart and life.
God Bless,
Oldbiker
It is strange how we can be getting back in
the swing of things a bit better and then out of the blue come the memories flooding in once again, making us want our loved ones back even more.I will be praying for God to bless you with peace and courage for today and everyday.
The angels are always near to those who are
grieving,to wisper to them that their loved ones are safe and in the hand of God.
