Im so sorry for your loss dear. I cannot even imagine the pain of losing a baby. Please be easy on yourself, theres nothing you could have done to keep this from happening. My baby is 21 months old and I still spend sleepless nights watching her but I know I realy can't protect her as well as God can. I pray that God give you peace at this difficult time. When you feel that way, just cry out to God to give you strength. I just tell God, I cant do this, please give me your strength. I have to do this several times a day since Ive lost so many people in my life in a short period of time.

i am so sorry for the loss of your baby..the what if's will tear us apart if we let them..i still have fleeting moments of what if i had..being a man who lost his wife i cannot imagine how deep the feelings are that a mother has for her child ,it is a journey where prayer for each other can never be enough until that day when we actually will hold our loved ones again..bless

I had a daughter that died almost 23 years ago, she died from SIDS, it was devistating and has defined my whole life and what life means to me now. They say things happened for a reason, for me, and it wasn't until many many years later that I 'got' the message and understood why. I am so sorry for your loss. My baby girl died on July 13, 2010 when she was one day old. You are still at the point where the pain is pretty intense. It does get better but I still miss my daughter everyday and my arms ache to hold her. The thing that has probably been most helpful to me has been to have a notebook to journal in and to use it. Mine has been used to write down whatever wild or crazy or intense thoughts that I think and feel. Noone is allowed to read it and that helps me to be able to really write down all of it.. I hope this helps. Some days it will hurt to breathe but those get fewer as time passes. Just keep breathing and take care of yourself the best you can for now. Allow yourself to grieve and please stop beating yourself up for maybe not being there for your baby. You know you love him and would have done anything for him to live. For whatever reason he was not meant to live because God does not take anyone before it is their time. Yes it is crappy when our babies die but it is not your fault.
