I lost the love of my life and wife of 37 years on Tuesday, 3/7/17. She was only 58 yrs old and cancer took her after 6 short months. We spent the last 7 weeks in hospice, where I watched her slowly deteriorate and forget me and our daughters. I was so strong while she lived, but since her death I can't seem to stop crying at the slightest thing. It hurts so much that I can't seem to breathe at times. Please, someone tell me it gets a little easier.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

We have a very good and active Widows and Widowers board on here that might be of help to you and I think a real life support group might help as well
I'm glad you're here
Big hug and a blessing for you as well Muddy and flores........ I will put up a link to the group......xo

It does get better, but it takes time. There really is no easy way to lose a spouse, just different stages of bad. Surround yourself with family and friends. There will be many things you have to do, if you have a really good friend or family member lean on them for help. WHen my sister died, her husband got a lot of support from his brother. It made a huge difference for him and his ability to function.
Gentle hugs
