Almost a year ago I lost my mom. This past year has been very hard. I took care of my mom for years. She was very sick. I just feel very depressed now, even though it has been almost a year I feel even more depressed. The Christmas Holiday was really hard because it was her favorite time of year, but putting up our tree and other decorations was more like a chore than anything else. Now that it is coming closer to it being one year since she passed I feel more and more depressed. I really have not anyone to really talk to about this. So I guess I have bottled up a lot of sadness. It really has been a very hard year.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

I can imagine how difficult the Christmas holiday was for you. I do hope that you are working with a good plan to get better. Grief is a character with so many traits, and most are sad ones. The process to move forward involves a loosening of feelings, which is what you do here; it's good that you are aware of how this sadness is developing. This way, there is a sense of responsibility to end the continuum problems and you do show desire to change. Please consider relating your feelings more often, and others will reach out to you for strong support. However, do get into professional bereavement services while you are uncomfortable with your feelings. Professionals are waiting to help you find the best coping skills for overcoming sadness. Find you a good counseling center and a therapist who can guide you safely through this highly significant time in your life. You deserve freedom from pain. Claim your joy!
Your mother is not so much lost, as you are keeping a lovely image of her in your heart always. I am so sorry for your pain. I pray that you find strength in the process of this period of grief.
Hugs and love...
I think that the holidays can be particularly hard and the loss is so apparent
A RL grief support group might be a really good support for you.... xo
What you are feeling is normal. All the "firsts" without are so difficult. So sorry for your loss. Be kind to yourself and see if you can find an in person grief group in your area.
This was the 2nd Christmas without my mom and the first Christmas without my son.
It sucked.
My mom was sick the last year of her life so when she passed it was almost a relief but as the months went on and the first anniversary did bring depression.
My son died suddenly and part of me died as well. It will soon be one year and I'm.....having flashbacks and grief surges.
