Sho I once believed the same as you and didn't think much of it, that there would be a time when Jesus would return and like awake the dead :S guess its a mystery.
Listen to Rainbowmama - she is wise and well-spoken. I couldn't say it better myself, so I'll just refer you back to her post.
I am a Christian myself and I have to say that losing my Mom January 10, 2007 rocked my world. I questioned everything I had ever believed and I think that's part of grief. "Religion" is an individual belief, true, but it's not a coping mechanism - it's believing in the truth and leaning on God's love to get us thru times like these.
Blessings your way,
Stacie
I've also been thinking of going to a psychic. But its just finding the right one. And trusting that they are genuine. I am from Scotland and don't really know of any good pyshic's in or near my area. I might be willing to travel a bit down to London or something perhaps. But there must be something closer to home. Again, I just want to thank you all for ur comments its truly appreciated =) x
I can only offer my experiences and conclusions. I have experienced the living presence of several relatives and a close friend after their 'death' or better 'cross over' (probably other words to describe it). I can not 'prove' they are still very much alive and well but I do know first hand that the ones I encountered are very alive and well. I could fill up a lot of pages about each incident but I will just say that several of my encounters were through psychics and at least one was with my own everyday consciousness.
In each case, the departed was happy, wise, at peace, having a ball, safe, comfortable, joyous and a lot of other positive things. some of them gave me forecasts about my future but most were just happy and non-intrusive. Their understanding and compassion was sage-like and calm. When a close friend, my brother in law died of cancer, I was there shortly after and directly experienced him myself in his Astral or spirit body (very difficult to describe) like an invisible cloud at his home. I walked through his presence and it was like walking through 'tingling' mist but not chilly. I would go into this but suffice it to say he was VERY happy to be out of his cancerous body. The other events have only cemented my realization that we don't die, we just transform and it's a very lovely state/place over there. I have no idea what all happens over there, where the go, what they do, if there's a god or other spiritual beings. In my brother in law's case, I perceived no 'other' beings with him. If this helps you accept that your departed husband is right there with you all the time since there is no distance or walls in spirit, maybe you will 'notice' him from time to time and enjoy his continuing presence in your life. Don't be afraid ashamed or uncomfortable with him being there. They do not judge, spy or critique our life here. They know it's tough and limited for us - but not for them. Welcome him and expect to contact him in whatever way he contacts you. That or visit a psychic and get in touch with him. It will help if you believe or accept that he has not left you at all and will gladly contact you in any LOVING way possible.
Good luck, JIm "
