I wonder how many of you shared this: During my Mom's illness, hospitalization crises and passing, I was in touch daily with friends by email. Tonight, I was going through old emails in hopes of cleaning my box - but found that those daily transmissions to friends - advising them of what had happened at hospitals, nursing home rehabs, and home care -- served as a better chronicle than any hospital record. So many details (important to me) - that even I'd forgotten - still safe in my "sent" or "save" box - retold Mama's illness and my heartbreaks, as I was losing her. If you still have those email records - depending on your experiences - don't be too quick to erase them. They will be significant in months / years to come.

My situation isn't quite like yours. But yes keep the e-mails. In my case when my son passed I started journaling everyday. Partly because my memory was so bad at the time and then it just grew. I saved the journals and re read then on occasion it's a good way to see how far I have come from the initial shock. I wrote memories down and details of different things that were going on at the time. Now I sit with a box of Puffs Plus and my journals and I can have a good cry when I need to.

I agree with all. I saved all the emails, I journaled. I even have the last few emails my sister sent me just days before she was murdered.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
