I think we all go through something similar, but what I realized is that even if I had not lost my loved ones the people would still ask if my week-end was good. It's kind of like talking about the weather. And on some level I think they are hoping you actually DID finally have a good week-end.
I bet you are right and this is the anger part of grief for you.
But, I have a feeling that most people just say that automatically to everyone they see. "how ya doin, how are you, how was your weekend?" Its a rhetorical question. They don't really want to know. It's dumb really. Then we reply the usual..."fine".
But you are right. you are at the point now where I'm sure you are really missing your love one. It might be the hardest time for you, and people aren't thinking of that anymore maybe.
The only thing I can tell you is most likely you will be like me and be much more sensitive to others when they lose someone they love. Just a month or so ago, one of the girls that work for me came to my office. I asked her what she needed, she came into the office and shut the door and blurted out my sister died and cried and cried. I held her and comforted her and told her to cry and cry and cry. She's come to me a few times since then when she's feeling bad and we sit quietly and talk. I tell her about my sister and she tells me about her sister. I acknowledge her grief. I get it. And I'm certain you will do the same.
Hang in there

You will get past this phase, don't worry sweetheart. We've all gone through the weekend horrors, I still do, sometimes.
Take care!
