About 10 years ago on a cold blustery day...the phone awoke us in the middle of the night.Mom was still at home..so was Frank and I was visiting.On the other end was Franks godchild..and she was crying...she told Frank and I that her new baby of two weeks...she found dead in her crib.She told me that she did not hit the baby and she doesnt know what to do...Grandma Lena was the one who had to call the police and tell them to notify her husband.She lived in a very small town and let me tell you this...small towns arent like Twin Peaks...the one that she lived in was full of retired people and gossips.Some of these people are gossipy and frankly I dont see why.Why is everyones business hers? I mean what has she done? I decided never to be like this and I am not..I have got various interests and knowing the personal business of every Tom,Dick and Harry aint my cup of tea.She was crying so much that she didnt want to see the undertaker.He too was sort of odd..but then...he never had a case of a baby dying in this town...how do you explain sudden death? How can you make people listen? ALl I know is that sudden death does strike a great deal of young people and sometimes they are the most healthiest peoplearound.And on the death certificate..how can you put sudden death? I mean what can you put? But she was just so upset...Frank took a plane out the next day because Grandma Lena asked him too and she even gave Frank her credit care to come there.When Frank arrived..the mood was chaos.Everyone was yelling.It was like Animal House and half of the people he did not know.Then at the end...a lady appeared and she was the one who told her about a autopsy...we all wanted an answer..but it doesnt happen right away...She had to wait at least 6 weeks and it was a bit shocking...the baby was born with a hole in her heart..that wasnt detected.She died because she wasnt getting enough blood to the heart...and none of these high flooting doctors found this? I mean what good are they if they cant find a heart defect in a small baby? And I want to see that Franks godchild and I no longer speak as she doesnt know that I am here.She knows that Frank died and she sent us flowers...I asked my other brother how she is doing and he told me that he did talk to them recently and altho it has been 10 years....this ladys pain is still there and guess what? Her husband left her! Now she is all alone...but remember...sudden death can happen to anyone and it isnt anyones fault..so guys can you at least be understanding? Can you at least help us get through this grief? Cant you see the pain is just so enormous and from what I hear...she still hasnt recovered.Dont you think that the Obama Administration can set a Task Force on Sudden Death and see what causes it? This would be nice to help stop this killer.
