I picked up my brother's ashes the other day at the funeral home which is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do and after I was handed the box containing the 4 small urns, the young man had me sign a paper and then told me to have great day. I was stunned and speechless. How about saying something like "I'm so sorry for your loss"?

That day is hard. I remember putting off going as if I went meant reality of fact my.mkm was gone. I feel for you. So sorry for your loss.

Yea, that was cold of them. A word to the person in charge after you have had some time to recover may help you get over it, and them learn to not do it that way.

I went with dad to pick up mom's ashes. They asked him what he wanted to do with them. Without giving me any warning, dad said that I was going to take them and then spread them after he died along with mom's ashes.

OK, ... uh, sure dad. No problem.

ThePepperMan: You're right...I will send them a note. Worked in customer service most of my life and this is a teachable moment. Sorry about the loss of you mom and the unexpected instruction from your dad.

    I'm horrified!  I knew my insurance would go up due to getting a new car but I didn't expect it to go up over $2,000.  I did have an accident with the snow/ice in the winter.  I was just telling my brother that I have had my car since March 2, 2026 and have only spent $75 on an oil change.  Now this!  I called another insurance company and their quote was over $4,000.  I guess I have to pay...

    We all have 24 hours in a day.  How we spend these hours is important.  Watching a little bit of a video about how sitting affects us made me aware of how much sitting and laying down I do.  Gonna have to work on that.Your turn.  Tell me another truth.
