I was going for a walk today while listening to my iPod. At one point I thought I heard my dad's voice say my name. I looked around thinking it was probably someone I knew, but no one was around. I'm not really one to believe in ghosts or anything so I wonder if I am just losing it. My dad has been gone for over a month now, but I was thinking of him a lot today with all the Thanksgiving stuff. Has anyone experienced this?

Many of you know Mr K told me to "shut your mouth" in March 2025 when we took a road trip to Alpena Michigan. Since that time, we have had lots of ups and downs but I have never intentionally hurt Mr K in anyway. And when we first started dating in 2024 he let me know, although he is an engineer by degree, he has an extremely low EQ. Overall, he is ok (not off the charts nice like other guys in...

For instance, my mom passed 2 weeks ago tomorrow. When I got home from the nursing home that night after signing the papers for the mortuary, I unlocked the door and walked in and in the middle of the living room floor, there was her favorite pen. She ALWAYS kept it up on the counter between the kitchen and living room and it was there when I left that day, I saw it (It's bright red) when I was looking for my keys. There is no rational or possible explanation for it being where it was. I truly believe that was a sign to me for me to know she is ok and *with me*. A few other little things have happened, but that was the most obvious and pronounced thing thusfar.
*Hugs* and my suggestion to you is to maybe keep your mind open to hearing from him and you will be able to see/hear more than you have. It's a comfort for sure.
Us Indian folks believe that the dead come to visit you and that they often come to visit you to deliver some sort of a message to you. I've had this happen more than once, most of the time it is my late father that comes to visit me in my dreams.
I've only had the experience of both of them comes to visit me when I was in the hospital and near death. All of a sudden they they were, mother and dad side by side in the room with me.
I thought maybe I'd died myself and not knowing what to do, I called for a priest to deliver my last rites to me. The priest came and did just that and I lived through the ordeal that almost took my life (well I believe that I technically did die and was brought back to life by the doctors at the hospital).
I lived through peritonitis, something few people live to speak about, esp. people with other serious medical problems like I have.
I am still here for a reason. What that reason is, I don't know but I'm here and I know that my late parents are still around keeping an eye on me too.
I find it comforting to be honest with you and I never dismiss it and yes, that was you father that day! I have no doubt about it!! :)
