I wrote a poem when my grandad was stolen away from liver cancer, and I want to share it, share my anger and pain, share with you my piece of grief so that you all may know you're not alone. Never alone.
Cancer... death evil thieves!
Stealing away our loves ones
Sneaky little thieves
You hurt so many.
You don't care
you love the kill
but for those of us who do
you kill us a little too
Don't you see you don't just get them!?
you take a piece of us too, a piece of our heart
You evil dirty, rotten, foulest of thieves!
Bring them back, let them live.
Give me back that piece you took
you sneaky, rotten thief
Death, you heartless wretch
you're nothing but a THIEF!!

well said. I lost my husband 5 weeks ago to lung cancer. And I am so mad at cancer that if I could actually see it, I would kill it. I would literally beat it black and blue. Right now that is where my anger is directed. Just can't do much about it. I am so sorry for the loss of your grandfather. You are right we are not alone, people go through this everyday. There are nearly 100 styles of poetry, and whether one is "ggod" or not is open to interpretation. Emotions released in any form are good. Your pain and anger show through very clearly here, I think it is very good. My condolences to you on your loss. Huggs, Rainbow

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus).
