Do the dead warn us--why? by Vader

I had to write this topic because my late Frank always believed in dreams and omens.He never liked the rain and he hated the snow.Frank always hated to work in bad weather and I had to tell everyone was has transpired in the past two days.I dreamt of Frank.He was all dressed in white and he had by him a football and he had on my late dads hat.He said to me to be careful and not to drive for a few days.It has been chilly but when it rains in seattle it pours and it has been really chilly.A few nights ago..it was really misty and Brad and I had to do something.The weather was really terrible and you could see that the people that were driving were also struggling with this mist.The night before I dreamt of a mist and I saw a car.I saw a white car and I saw Brads and I got scared.Brad is a very careful driver and where we went it was far.There were no signs to get to the major highway and we became lost.All of a sudden..we saw lights and a car that was coming towards us! I screamed my head off and he went to the side of the road.It was one of these trailers and apparently he was speeding.He could have really hurt us and he almost did.We were on the side of the road for 15 minutes and then people came to us.A state trooper asked us if we were alright and told us to go home and take it slowly.Apparently there were 3 accidents that night and the people on this highway werent doing so good.Now I have got a question that I asked the minister..do the dead warn us? Can the dead see? He told me no.But if Frank did not tell me to be careful and I did not go with Brad on that Friday night..Brad would be hurt.Does anyone know what this dream means? Is it a warning? If the dead do not warn us..what was it? And why was Frank all dressed in white and wearing that hat? Vader.

I think it is entirely possible that he came to warn you. I am not religious but I like to think there is some sort of life after death, and that our loved ones watch over us.

What he said in the dream... and what happened, I think yeh, he did come and warn you, and a good job he did too! :)

I HAD A SIMILAR SITUATION THIS SAT NIGHT.............MY SISTER IN LAW IS A TEACHER AND CAME UP TO HER SAYING THIS SHE COULDNT POSSIBLY KNOW ABOUT MY DEAD BROTHER.......MY SISTER N LAW DID NOT EVEN KNOW THIS LADY BUT SHE TOLD HER TO WATCH OUT ON OCT 12.......... WELL I WAS OUT LEAVING A FRIENDS AND A F350 TRUCK RAN A RED LIGHT (I HAVE A SMALL ACURA I WOULD HAVE BEEN KILLED INSTANTLY.............HE WAS DRIVING VERY FAST......IM NOT RELGIOUS AT ALL BUT AFTER THIS I FEEL HE WAS MY GUARDING ANGLE AND SAVED ME THAT NIGHT NOW I WILL GO TO CHURCH.......I WISH YOU TH BEST AND HOPE EVERYTHINHG WORKS OUT 4 U

I defenitly believe they do...Here is my story.
My brother passed in 96 from injuries in a car wreck. On Feb 12 was the day he wrecked but didn;t pass till 18 days later. Anyway, he wrecked on this small hill, that you come upon while driving a straight stretch of hwy. He wrecked at the beginning of the hill.
Well, 2 years after his death, I was driving back home from the cemetary, where I just decorated for Valentines day. That hill is in between the cemetary and my house. I was going about 50-55 mph, and when I came down the hill, traffic was at a dead stop.( due to a accident up ahead) I slammed on the brakes and my van swereved over into a ditch. Of course the people behind me also had to slam on thier brakes, which caused a 3 car pile up. I wasn't hurt, I feel like my brother reached down and guided my van over in that ditch, so I wouldn't be slammed into by the cars behind me. Oh yea, the date this happened: Feb.12!
Same hill, same date???? Hmmm

Vader, I do strongly believe that they warn us, that they see us, and that they are protecting us. I know a lot of people don't believe in this, but I went and saw a psychic the other day and she had so many things to tell me from my husband and one of them was that he hears me talking, praying to him, and he's always watching over me... and he comes to me in my dreams.

So, I absolutely believe that they are our guardian angels and they are always looking out for us.

Sure, some people will come back from the dead and warn you about something. There are lots of recorded cases.

I want to thank all of you who have responded.It is a funny thing when it comes to dreams.Sometimes we are told to ignore them,but I do keep a book by my bed now and when something strange like this happens..I try to pay attention and I dont go out.Thanks,vader.

When Jack was in the hospital he hated for me to leave....I would stay until they kickeds me out...The night he passed it was late..I was just standing at home a felt a brush on my check and his smelt his calone and I even felt him so strong that I called out his name. It was shortly after that I got the call from the hospital????

I do believe those who have crossed (who I dont consider 'dead', but alive in spirit), let us know things.
my middle son was driving one night and he and his friend were on a dark stretch of road..suddenly, a loud voice came into his right ear and said "turn RIGHT NOW"..he did...and avoided 6 deer that he would have hit , and the car behind him did hit the deer.
my son was visibly shaken but said to me
'mom..it was dads voice'
my husband crossed in 1989...
my youngest son crossed in 2006..i know he is with his dad.

I believe that the dead do warn us of upcoming things that could hurt us as, accidents. So, I will stay home. I would like them to pick lottery numbers but, they won't. I have stayed home so, don't know if I would have been in an accident. Tom

I know my story isnt about a dream but my fiance passed away last wednesday night. They wouldnt tell me anything for about an hour at the hospitol so my friends and I went to my car to get some air. Well, the key fob to set the alarm on my car was lost several months back. When we opened the car door the alarm went off and wouldnt stop. After I found out he had passed, they made me leave the hospitol and sure enough, there goes the alarm. I think that was his way of letting me know he was ok. And to embaress me one last time cause he was such a kidder.

To all..I will make this a group message.I have always believed that the dead warn us.And I do believe it.We must not think that dreams and omens are silliness.We must listen to them.I just brought a book on dreams.It is in my cabinet and Kramer just jumped off the tv and almost broke the plate!     My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
