I went to one.Not to contact Bruce but to see what life has next for me.She did tell me that she felt sorrow in my life and like a dummy I told her Bruce died.I was hoping she would tell me.But she did tell me that he passed over to the other side and that he was with his brother,and he was happy and at peace.I was amazed she knew he had a brother never mind one that died.She told me I have 2kids a girl and a boy.I do.She told me I was going to get a promotion at work.I did 3 weeks later.She told me I was going to take a trip.I'm leaving for Fl.on wednesday.She said she could see Bruce in his bed,thats where he died.She was very accurate with many of the things she saw and I was amazed,but I never talked to Bruce through her,but I wasnt looking for that.

You really don't need a psychic to contact your dad, you can do this on your own. All you have to do is listen. We all have the ability to contact our loved ones but most don't use it or they don't know how. Meditation is always a great way to help you. You can also leave out paper and pencil/pen at night and see if he writes on it. Some spirits won't make themselves known unless they know we are ready for them to. Talking to him as if he is there helps also, he can hear you and may even reply back, not by talking to you like you did when he was alive, but he will send you messages that will let you know it him. Have you ever dreamed on him since his passing? That is how most spirits visit us.

It seems like I have dreams of him almost 3 nights a week. I do not remember our conversations and what is said. All I know is that he is in my dreams. Once I had a dream of him and he was talking to me and I was scared to touch him because I knew he was dead. I don't want to be scared because I want him to communicate with him. I am trying to work on it because I want him to come to me more. I just think it would be neat to go to a medium to see what they would say. I so badly need closure and some days I feel like I have it and others I hit rock bottom.

Christine, next time you dream of your dad, ask him why he is there and if he has anything he would like to tell you. Sometimes they just come to us because they miss us too, not just because they might have some info for us. Also, don't try so hard, let him come to you on his own, and if he does have something to tell you he will make it clear, but its up to you to hear him. Its understandable to be scared of him knowing he is dead, but he is still the same person he was in the flesh.

I went to a medium about a month ago...The guy didn't specialize in contacting departed loved ones, but ended up beingn incredible. I am such a skeptic that I didn't give him any info about my Dad and yet he knew stuff no one could have known. It was amazing and so comforting.

I figured if this guy was good, I'll go to the psychic at the spiritual store who specialized in contacting departed loved ones. I went to her today, and she was terrible! She asked if my Dad was missing hair on top of is head and he wasn't. Then she said my Dad was reunited with his mom when he left this earth and I was like, "My grandma is alive." She asked me a lot of questions, all the while telling me my Dad was asking them. The other guy didn't ask anything, just said what he saw.

So, I'd say it really depends on who you go to. The first guy I went to really helped me feel like my Dad is here with me. So, I'd say don't spend too much money on it, but it can be good depending on who you go to. :)

Someone on this site had mentioned the name of Sylvia Browne as a psychic. I had looked up a bit online, and there was one article that was disturbing. She was on the Montel show and a guest and his friend had tickets and were going to check her out. Supposedly one friend pretended to act like his friend (sitting next to him) had been killed in the 911 attack. He said he wanted to know if he had gone to Heaven and did he suffer. She told him that no he did not suffer, that he died quickly and that he was in Heaven. Well then the gentleman said My friend is not dead, he is sitting here beside me. Well he said that they went to break, he and his guest were evicted from the show. When the show did air, that whole section with them was removed. This is why it is so scary to think about using a medium/psychic. We have to be so careful.....

I think there are people with this gift and there are scammers who take advantage of others and shouldn't be trusted. I don't think we need to be afraid of every psychic, but I'd sure as heck never spend very much $$ on it. But, I say you shouldn't rule something out unless you've done it yourself. Everyone is different and has a different experience.

psychics do work, but you dont need one. My best friend was murdered April of 06. I was very close to her and i still am. When i sit out on my grandmas front porch i know shes with me. that is our spot. I sit there and i talk to her and i know she hears me, because after i have finished with my scentince the tree next to me will shake not like the wind was blowing it, but like someone was shaking it. i have also had a few dreams where i can talk to my relative i wake up knowing exactly what was said. one week before my brother was diagnosed with cancer my papa came to me and told me to get him checked out. 2 days before i had the m/c my best friend came to me and told me not to cry my baby is safe and loved with her. everyone has the power to speak to their loved ones who have passed over you just have to pay close attention.

Ya'll are going to think I am crazy but here goes...I was watching Montel today and goofy Sylvia Brown was on, she said something that made me think of this one night before my dad died I woke up and there was a soldier next to my bed, I seen his face, his uniform a WW2 army uniform.. I felt him touching me...I swear it is not a dream to this day. I mean sometimes dreams seem so real but we always seem to know when they are not. Anyway I never thought about it till today, but my dad was in WW2 and I wonder did this soldier visit me for some reason? Was he an old friend of my dad's that died? A few months later my dad died....maybe this was the sign i have been looking for. Maybe this soldier dude was waiting for my dad and he came to me that night hoping I would remember his visit and let me know that dad is on the other side?? I have had odd pyschic phenomenom happen to me in the past...to strange to just forget. I don't know. Maybe I am just too hopeful. I just do not believe that soldier was a dream, it was way to real. I keep looking for signs....

Yes I believe in psychics, how can you not, were here arent we and just think how much of are brain we really us, explain children that can play beautiful music without lessons, Some are born with gifts.

i think you don't have to go to one. there have been many times that my grandson(2yrs.old when his daddy died) has talked to his dad.he sits on the top bunk in the bedroom and just talks and laughs and looks straight out in front of him . my daughter has asked who he's talking to and he will tell her "my daddy". and point to where he says he's at.at my grandson's 3rd birthday he sat on the pinic table out side and was looking at the tree and out of the blue turned to my daughter and said "my uncle zackie's here,he's over at the tree.my son died 4 weeks before my son in law. that was 19 months ago and there have been too many things that go on ( music playing that sometimes only one person can hear) usually my daughter or grandson. my grandson talks to his dad and my son often . i think they answer him.so listen to the quite and you'll be surprised at what you may hear or feel.i've woke up smelling bacon and eggs the first day of a new snow.my son and son in law would always take the kids sledding and then come to our house to make breakfast! even my husband has smelled it at different times.we don't all get the same things from our loved ones but if you just listen for or see the small things , i think you'll realize that there are times when they do speak to us.

I do think it's great that some of us on here (not me) have had such prolific "visits" from our loved ones, or have had psychic experiences yourselves. Believe me, I wish with all my heart I could have these. But, the truth is not everyone has had this kind of comfort. It's very easy to say that everyone has this power so don't go to a psychic-I definitely believe we do have this power. But, accessing it is not easy for everyone. So, in the meantime, I say if someone feels that going to a psychic will be of comfort, go for it. I do think paying more than $25 is not a good idea. I also think we're all smart enough to know when someone is scamming us. So, if you feel this is something on the quest for connection and closure that will help, you should satisfy that curiosity. If it doesn't work, you'll know right away and move on to other things. :)
