Hello, all I am having a very hard time this month. Last year I lost my great grandmother on the 11th of November, my dog on the 18th, and my grandmother on the 20th from covid. On November 4th, 2019 I lost my aunt to cancer. I struggle with anxiety and depression but to make a long story short I have made peace with my aunt and great-grandmother's passing because I was able to receive closure but I was not able to say my goodbyes to my grandmother who raised me and was my constant. I have many issues with grieving and letting it show and silently hold it in most of the time but now its getting closer and so much has happend. I just miss her terribly and sat at her grave for an hour crying just wishing my last hug to her was a warm one and not to an urn. How do you handle losing someone who was like your mother, your rock, and just all together your everything?

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

First, I hope everyone is doing well, and continuing to fight that good fight! Keep up the great work on yourselves; I'm rooting for all of you!So, I started doing therapy at the beginning of the year, when I was in my most depressed state, but with my therapist, I made big changes and steps in the right direction. But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
I never had any one in my life whom I would describe the way you describe your grandmother, but my personal approach to processing the grief of losing my youngest son in a traffic accident has been to let every tear be an honor to a person worth missing. He deserves to be remembered and remembered with honor, love and dignity. This approach still hurts --allot-- but sometimes it allows me to feel him by my side, comforting me. Those moments are priceless and becoming more common.
But ever grieving is unique. . .
Rocking you gently and crying with you as you find your own way through.
The fact that you had so many who were close to you pass away within a short period of time feels like an assault. Give yourself time. My 2020 was the same way, my sis who had been battling stage 4 cancer for 7.5 years died, then my Uncle died a couple months after that and then my husband's grandmother passed right after that .... We can't know when these times will come upon us with no warning or with tons of time to process.
But what's important is that our loved ones left love and life lessons with us that we may use to make us stronger for the love they gave us while they were here on earth. It was an h0nor to have them in our lives for as long as we did. Maybe begin writing in a journal where you can have a place to "park" your thoughts and anything you would have wanted to share with them. It really does help so much!! You are not alone!!
